Lawyers go baking

We have just about recovered from our efforts in the kitchen at the end of September and would like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning and generously supported the event.

I am pleased to report that we raised £331.10 for an excellent cause.

I’d like to thank all of my team at Thames Gateway who put in a tremendous amount of effort.  There’s nothing like a day of legal work and then a spot of home baking!!  We don’t just specialise in law here, you know!  Even I had sausages in the pan on one side of the kitchen and made two lots of muffins on the other – the fact that my kitchen afterwards reminded me of the Yellow Pages ad where the guy had been “broken into” is another matter!

I am still chuckling to myself that I looked at the array of goodies on the day and was worried that we didn’t have enough.  Needless to say, we are now all on crash diets before Christmas!

Once again, thank you all for your support.  We very much look forward to seeing you at our Thames Gateway Christmas Drinks which will feature our traditional poem!
