Cyclist knocked off bicycle

Cyclist knocked off bicycle by car door. A four figure compensation was recovered on behalf of client.

Date: November 2010

Road Traffic Accident Claim

Our client, Mr Farmer of Romford, was knocked from his bicycle when a car driver opened their door, without checking that it was safe to do so.

Mr Farmer suffered a dislocated finger, plus soft tissue injuries to his head, elbows, legs and neck. Of particular interest in this case was the significance of some residual scarring to the client’s leg, which he felt particularly self conscious about when wearing shorts.

In addition to the injuries suffered by our client, a number of his belongings were also damaged in the accident (including the complete loss of his expensive bicycle).

At no expense to our client and without going to Court, we recovered a significant 4 figure sum by way of compensation not only for his injuries and belongings, but also for all other out of pocket expenses incurred by him following the accident.

Mr. Farmer said of the service that he received from Ross Rowland, Legal Adviser for Personal Injury Claims;

“The service provided by Furley Page was extremely thorough and comprehensive and the settlement which was reached with the Third Party Insurers was very satisfactory covering all of the expenses incurred by myself following the accident. I would certainly recommend using their services”.
