Cut Off Date for Former Kent Miners

The Government has announced that Former Kent Miners only have until 31 October 2002 to make a damages claim for Vibration White Finger.
 

Former Kent miners who worked with heavy machinery for at least 12 months after 1 January 1975 can make a claim for Vibration White Finger. It is caused from working with heavy machinery particularly pneumatic machines.
 

Canterbury solicitors Furley Page have helped many former Kent Miners bring such claims against British Coal over the past three years.
 

Partner Neille Ryan is working closely with miner’s representatives to help bring health claims against British Coal and is making over 2500 claims for former Kent miners, nearly 700 being claims for miners suffering from Vibration White Finger.
 

Neille Ryan said: "The Government has now stated that all claims must be registered by the end of October this year. I urge all miners yet to make a claim for Vibration White Finger to do so now to ensure that the claim is successfully registered before the cut off date."
