Music lovers will be able to enjoy a free concert thanks to the continuing support of south east’s leading law firm Furley Page.
The solicitors, with offices in Canterbury and Whitstable, are sponsoring a series of free lunchtime concerts at the Gulbenkian Theatre, University of Kent. Open to all, the concerts start at 1.10pm and finish with a ‘give what you can’ collection.
The next concert is on January 30 and will feature the University of Kent Camerata performing Mozart to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth. The programme will include Mozart’s Divertimento in F and a movement from the exquisite Flute and Harp Concerto.
Peter Hawkes, senior partner at Furley Page, said: “It gives us great pleasure to sponsor these free concerts, bringing great music to Canterbury. Mozart is an ideal choice for January, brightening the winter days. And anyone can just turn up on the day – without booking – to enjoy the concert.”
