03 November 2009
With many law firms in the south east being forced to shed staff or work short time, leading regional solicitors Furley Page is bucking the trend.
It has no recession casualties across its Canterbury, Whitstable, Chatham and Lloyds of London offices – in fact it is enjoying a period of expansion.
As well as its prestigious new premises in the Admiral’s Offices in Chatham Historic Dockyard, two of the Chatham teams now have a new face. Experienced lawyer Maxine Gregory joins Martin Kingman’s debt recovery and insolvency team, and recently qualified solicitor Tony Chester is in the corporate team.
Susan Jennings, head of corporate who heads up the Chatham office, said: “Further expansion is on the cards. But we’re not resting on our laurels in the Medway area. We still need to get the message out there that we offer the expertise of the London firms without the city price tag. The Dockyard is a fantastic and very accessible location for our clients.”
