Experienced Lawyer Returns To Furley Page Solicitors

12 January 2006

Commercial property lawyer Catherine Wolstencroft has returned to practice at Furley Page Solicitors after a break to enjoy her daughter’s early years. Prior to that, she had built up almost 10 years’ experience in London and at another large south east firm.

Catherine advises on a wide range of commercial property matters including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, acting for landlords or tenants in the creation, variation or surrender of leases. She also deals with planning agreements, option and claw-back agreements and property due diligence on corporate transactions. She acts on residential property transactions where they arise in dealings with property investments portfolios.

Catherine said: “After a break of nearly four years I was naturally apprehensive about returning to practice. However, Furley Page has made the transition easy for me. In particular, the firm’s commitment and investment in IT has given me the flexibility to combine my roles as a working professional and mother.”

In her spare time, Catherine, a former Maidstone Grammar School for Girls student, is passionate about archaeology and takes part in private and commercial digs. She has just completed a postgraduate certificate in the archaeology of standing buildings, focussing on early Kent Anglo-Saxon churches. Catherine, aged 41, lives in Faversham.

Christopher Wacher, head of the commercial team at Furley Page, said: “Catherine is a highly qualified commercial property lawyer having trained at a Lincoln’s Inn firm in London. We are delighted to welcome her back. The investment we have made in IT to enable flexible working will further ensure our clients receive quality services from experienced lawyers.”
