Combine great British dance tunes; matchless West African rhythm; a touch of Indian spice and jazz
improvisations and you get the innovative Boka Halat – in concert at the Gulbenkian Theatre,
University of Kent on February 26.
One of a series of free lunchtime concerts sponsored by leading south east law firm Furley Page,
it starts at 1.10pm and finishes with a ‘give what you can’ collection.
Peter Hawkes, senior partner at Furley Page, said: “The Boka Halat concert is a great way to spend a lunchtime.
Sponsoring this exciting series is a privilege, emphasising our longstanding commitment to supporting music in Kent.
What makes these events so special is that they are accessible to everyone and they can
just turn up on the day for some wonderful music-making. There’s no need to book.”
