Furley Page Appoints Its First Chartered Tax Adviser

28 November 2006

Leading south east law firm Furley Page Solicitors has appointed its first chartered tax adviser.

Sarah Kingdon joins the firm’s private client department where she will put her specialist skills to good use advising on all aspects of tax and estate planning, trust documentation, wills and enduring powers of attorney.

With 29 year old Sarah’s appointment, Furley Page becomes one of a select group of UK law firms to have a member of the respected Chartered Institute of Taxation on its staff.

Sarah, who lives in Canterbury, said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of simplifying complex issues that can seem like a minefield to the layman.”

Fluent in French, Sarah is also experienced in the French laws of succession and tax and will contribute her knowledge to the firm’s dedicated French property department which guides its clients through the complex procedure of buying their dream home.

Peter Hawkes, senior partner at Furley Page – recommended in The Legal 500 and Chambers - said: “Sarah’s diverse skills will be a tremendous asset to both the private client and French property teams. Furley Page is enjoying a period of development and expansion, attracting high-calibre lawyers to its specialist departments.”

In her leisure time, Sarah enjoys playing the piano, dancing ceroc (for the uninitiated it’s a combination of jive and salsa), going to the gym and reading French novels.
