Furley Page Solicitors Sponsors Free Music Concert

18 September 2008

Make a note of a free lunchtime concert at the Gulbenkian Theatre, University of Kent on October 6 featuring award-winning, internationally-acclaimed folk group 422.

Defined by their slick, imaginative arrangements, the group – Sam Pitt, piano accordion; Emily Ball, fiddle and viola; Sophy Ball, fiddle; Ian Stephenson, guitar, and Joey Oliver, whistles – provided the music for Howard Goodall’s Channel 4 series Great Dates.

One of a series of lunchtime concerts sponsored by leading south east law firm Furley Page, it starts at 1.10pm and finishes at 2pm with a ‘give what you can’ collection. Other concerts in the season feature the British Saxophone Quartet on November 10 and Cantuar on December 15.

  • 422 won the 1999 BBC Young Folk Awards
