Furley Page Solicitors has been awarded the Investors in People Standard, joining 37,000 organisations across the UK which are committed to a policy of good practice for improving business performance through their staff.
Peter Hawkes, senior partner at Furley Page Solicitors, said: “We are very aware of the importance of investing in our people. As we are well-known advisers in Employment Law and Human Resources, we felt it crucial to demonstrate our commitment to good people management as an employer ourselves.
“Through investing in our 100 staff across the firm’s Canterbury and Whitstable offices we not only improve our service to clients and potential clients but also our status as an employer. Achieving this award has contributed to people consistently ranking Furley Page as one of the best law firms to work for in Kent.”
Ruth Spellman, chief executive of Investors in People UK, commented: “We are delighted that Furley Page Solicitors has been awarded the Investors in People Standard. We believe that employees are central to the success of any organisation and it is vital for staff to be skilled, flexible and motivated.”
A recent impact assessment study, conducted on behalf of Investors in People, revealed that changes made by IiP organisations three years prior to the study had helped to increase an organisation’s profits by an average of 7.16%, compared with 3.78% by non-recognised organisations.
