New Talent Strengthens Family Law Team

30 July 2004

Canterbury based law firm Furley Page has strengthened its Family Law Team this month with the timely arrival of Solicitor, Anne Blenkinsop. She brings with her 14 years’ experience in the family law field with a particular interest in children’s issues.
Anne Blenkinsop, originally from Maidstone, is delighted to be working for the Canterbury based law firm: “Furley Page has a very good reputation and my experience in dealing with children issues will complement the team. Disputes between parents concerning children are often highly charged and complex. I welcome the recent Government initiative to explore ways of resolving such disputes at an early stage and ensuring orders are complied with.”
The team now has over 30 years’ combined experience of family law with expertise covering a variety of family legal issues, including divorce settlements for high earners, splitting of family businesses and children’s issues.
James Muir-Little heads up the team, specialising in high value divorce settlements, capital gains tax consequences, and prenuptial agreements. A leading light in family law, James was one of the first thirteen solicitors in the country to qualify for Advanced Membership of the Law Society's Family Law Panel with the specialisation of “high value divorce settlements”. He is also a Member of the Solicitors’ Family Law Association and an Associate Member of the UK College of Family Mediators.
To ensure that clients receive the best possible service, Legal Assistant Penny Brandram-Jones plays a key role in liaising with clients and keeping them up to date with their cases.
James Muir-Little, Partner at Furley Page said: “‘The timing of the growth of the team couldn’t be better. With our new structure we can offer clients the full range of Family law services including mediation.”
