One of the most prestigious accolades in the specialist financial industry – the ILCA (Institute of Legal Cashiers & Administrators) Fellowship Award - has been won by Lorraine Bunting, legal cashier at Furley Page Solicitors.
Twenty seven year old Lorraine, who lives in Canterbury, is one of a select group – only 125 fellows have been created in the ILCA’s 27-year history.
“It is very exciting to have won this award and a privilege to have been made a fellow of the Institute,” said Lorraine who had to write a 15,000-word thesis on a subject approved by the ILCA.
She chose ‘A Modern Legal Practice’, interviewing some of the most experienced partners (present and past) at Furley Page to get an overview of the firm’s history.
As legal cashier, Lorraine handles all aspects of Furley Page’s legal accounts, financial reporting and payroll.
Peter Somers, director of finance and administration at Furley Page, said: “Being made a fellow of the Institute is an honour and it will bring a wide range of benefits to the firm from a partner, fee-earner and client perspective.”
The ILCA was founded in 1978 to promote excellence for specialist financial and administrative personnel working within the legal community.
