A specialist employment lawyer has been appointed by the top ranked employment team at leading regional law firm Furley Page – recommended by independent national legal guide Chambers UK.
Sian Dockray, aged 29 from Sittingbourne, divides her time between the Canterbury, Chatham and London offices where she advises employer and employee clients on wide-ranging employment issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination, working time, whistle-blowing and redundancies. Sian also reviews and drafts employment contracts, service agreements, HR policies and procedures.
A member of the Employment Lawyers Association, Sian joins Furley Page from a niche employment law practice in central London.
Andrew Masters, partner and head of the employment team, said: “The well-established team, which recently celebrated excellent results in Chambers UK, is expanding. Sian’s skills will be a big asset and contribute to the high quality of service we are able to offer our clients.”
A former pupil of Alleyns School, Dulwich, Sian gained a first class honours degree in English at Brunel University before passing her legal exams at London’s College of Law, and the Inns of Court School of Law – both with a commendation.
Her recent cases have included successfully defending an unfair dismissal and age discrimination claim on behalf of a translations agency, and acting for a claimant in a complex whistle-blowing and discrimination claim against a major construction company.
