Thames Gateway Employers Urged to Update Their Employment Knowledge

Leading south east law firm Furley Page - in association with Thames Gateway Chamber of Commerce - is presenting three interactive workshops aimed at giving employers a thorough and practical understanding of today’s employment law.

These popular and successful workshops, which have been running for several years, have proved an invaluable tool for local employers. They are being held at Furley Page’s prestigious new office at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham and are led by the firm’s three specialist employment lawyers and an experienced HR consultant.

Andrew Masters, head of employment at Furley Page, said: “There have been major changes to employment law which affect all businesses so it is essential that employers understand these changes and also best HR practice to avoid unnecessary and costly disputes.

“We are delighted the chamber has agreed to partner these workshops which are open to members and non-members throughout the area and suited to all firms - no matter what the size of the workforce. As well as practical guidance, there will be question and answer sessions.”

Joining Andrew are fellow members of the Furley Page employment team (recommended by Chambers and the Legal 500), lawyers Paul Whitfield and Amanda Okill - and specialist HR consultant Hugh Horsford.

The workshops run from 9am to 12.30pm and are followed by lunch.
