Career

Jessica Gidley joined Furley Page as a legal assistant in 2007 following graduation from the University of Kent.  Returning to her studies she completed the Legal Practice Course at the City University in London where she obtained a distinction and was awarded the Martin Dockray Prize. 

In 2009 Jess returned to Furley Page to complete her training contract.  During this time Jess gained experience in both the corporate and commercial dispute resolution teams building up a strong grounding in business issues before returning to the corporate team on qualification as a solicitor.

Jess now specialises in corporate and commercial work dealing with things such as, reviewing and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts relating to the supply of goods and services, terms and conditions (including online terms and policies), and advising on copyright, trademark and design right issues.

She has been involved in setting up Companies and dealing with compliance with the Companies Act. She also has experience in drafting LLP agreements. She works closely with the head of the team on transactional work including buying and selling businesses and restructuring work.

Jess prides herself on her friendly and approachable manner and enjoys helping businesses find solutions by providing practical advice in a straightforward way.
