Career

Richard Horton was admitted as a solicitor in 1974. In 1976 he became a Partner and, latterly, Chairman of another well-known Kent firm. Wanting to devote more time to client work, he joined Furley Page in 2003 as a Consultant.

Richard specialises in commercial property but has a broad experience of other commercial work. This, as well as management in his previous firm, allows him to bring a practical approach to advising clients, whether they are large companies or individuals.

His work includes acquisition, disposals and assignments of all types of leasehold and freehold property; residential and commercial development; mortgage and security work; licensed premises; options and claw-back agreements; planning; and agricultural land.

Apart from his work, Richard’s other enthusiasms include music, long-distance walking, skiing and his membership of Royal St George's Golf Club.
