Insolvency litigation advising on a range of issues relating to both corporate and personal insolvency. Extensive experience with regards to directors' duties and liabilities as well as defending directors’ who are subject to disqualification proceedings.
Richard Ludlow joined Furley Page in 2011 from the Treasury Solicitors Office where he was involved in the investigation of company directors and winding up their companies; as well as investigating the actions of bankrupts and pursuing bankruptcy restriction orders.
Prior to the Treasury Solicitors Richard Ludlow worked in the Public Interest Unit at the Insolvency Service in London. Before joining the Insolvency Service, Richard worked for a number of years in private practice with two large regional firms in Kent and Sussex.
Richard believes in providing his clients with practical and uncomplicated advice in a straightforward language that they can understand. As a result of his extensive experience he has a strong commercial focus, coupled with a pro-active approach. Consequently, Richard is able to provide his clients with the best available options in a quick and cost effective method.
Richard Ludlow has advised clients at all levels of claims from small claims in the local county court before a deputy district judge all the way up to hearings before a registrar in the companies court at the High Court in London, where a director was facing disqualification proceedings because he was responsible for a company that went into liquidation after trading for 2 years with unpaid VAT in excess of £35,000,000.
