Career

Sian Dockray joined Furley Page in 2009 from a niche Employment Law practice for whom she had worked in Central London and Surrey.

Sian attained a First Class Honours degree in English Literature and Commendations in both the Common Professional Examination at the College of Law, London, and the Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law, London.  Sian completed her training contract at a large regional practice in Kent before moving in order to specialise in employment law.

Sian advises both employer and employee clients on a wide range of employment law issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination, employment status, breach of contract, and bullying and harassment. She regularly drafts and reviews contracts of employment, directors' service agreements, and HR policies and procedures. 

Sian’s recent cases have included successfully defending an unfair dismissal and age discrimination claim on behalf of a translations agency; acting for a fashion merchandiser and wholesaler in defending a claim for unfair dismissal from a former employee, and acting for a claimant in a complex whistleblowing and discrimination claim against a large construction company.  

Sian works from both our Canterbury and Thames Gateway offices.
