Flexible Working

To exercise the statutory right to make a flexible working request, you must meet certain criteria.  Eligible employees may request:

  • A change to the hours they work.
  • A change to the times when they are required to work.
  • To work from a different location (for example, from home).

Underlying these three simple categories of flexible work, there are a wide range of possible work patterns.

Contact Furley Page Employment Law Team if you feel your employer has failed to deal with your request in accordance with the statutory process, refused it on an impermissible ground, or refused based on incorrect facts. It may be that you simply need information on the requisite criteria and the steps involved in making a request and we can also provide this.
