Working Time Regulations

The Working Time Regulation 1998 protect workers in relation to the number of hours that can be worked, the rest periods that must be taken, and the minimum holiday which employers must offer to their workers. The regulations also provide particular protection to night workers and to young workers.

Furley Page Employment Law Team can provide you advice and assistance if you believe your rights under the Working Time Regulations are being infringed by your employer, or if you believe you have been dismissed as a result of refusing to work longer than the time limits prescribed in the Working Time Regulations. Alternatively, we can help you, if you have been asked to sign an ‘opt out agreement’ waiving the limit on average weekly working hours, and you are unsure as to whether you wish to sign or not.
