Public Funding (Legal Aid)

If your gross income and capital are below the upper limits for public funding, you may be eligible for Public Funding (previously known as Legal Aid.)

In some instances, the legal costs incurred under a Public Funding Certificate are recoverable at the end of the case through the Legal Services Commision's statutory charge.

Furley Page no longer has a Public Funding ( Legal Aid) Franchise, which means we are unable to assist clients on a publicly funded basis.

Although we cannot act for clients who require Public Funding, we are always willing to discuss the costs of pursuing an application to the Court through the various stages described in this section to enable you to assess the extent to which the costs that you would incur on a privately paying basis might exceed the amount that you would have to repay through the statutory charge.
