Furley Page knows that Elderly clients' needs are specific and the law relating to issues concerning elderly people and vulnerable people can seem complicated and daunting. Anxiety caused by the unknown is a common problem and our specialist Elderly Client team has experience of helping people manage their affairs.

We talk you through things step by step making sure you understand the advice we give you. It is important you have enough time to make a decision about your affairs and do not feel pressured into a decision you are not happy with.

We make sure one point of contact is arranged to handle all affairs, this reduces confusion and stress. We bring peace of mind by giving practical advice on everyday issues, as well as planning ahead for the future.  Our lawyers are members of Solicitors for the Elderly and Nicola Rostron, Partner, has been appointed an Approved Panel Deputy to the Court of Protection by the Office of the Public Guardian.

Elderly and vulnerable client care

  • We have wheelchair access all of our offices as well as ground floor meeting rooms at our offices in Canterbury and Whitstable. 
  • For the deaf and hard of hearing we offer specialist tape services. We can arrange facilities for the use of sign language.
  • For those who are unable to hear or speak, we can arrange for an interpreter.
  • For those with eyesight problems we can provide literature in large print and have access to Braille.
  • Please let us know of your special requirements when booking an appointment.

Home and hospital visits

We know it is not easy for our elderly clients to visit our offices and we are happy to visit you in your own home, hospital or hospice. Details of our service can be discussed when making an appointment.
