French Property Solicitor (Private Client) NQ+

Based from our Canterbury office with flexibility to work from home

Working within our Private Client team you will provide advice on many aspects of French law including estate planning and wills with a cross-border element, French property sales and purchases, French capital gains tax and inheritance tax, the administration of French estates, and the French tax regime governing non-French trust structures.

You will ideally have previous experience, within English law of;

  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Tax and estate planning (including capital gains tax and inheritance tax)

And within French law of;

  • Advice in the buying and selling process
  • Wills including a French estate (advice and drafting)
  • Advice in the administration of French estates
  • Estate planning
  • Advice on gifts of French property
  • French private client taxes (primarily capital gains tax and inheritance tax)
  • General French law advice that arises due to French property ownership (transfer on separation, specific property matters etc)

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team, organised with the ability to prioritise your workload. In addition, you must be fluent in French.
