Legal Secretary – Commercial Real Estate

We are seeking a full-time permanent Legal Secretary to provide an efficient and effective service within the Commercial Real Estate team, supporting up to three fee earners, dealing with commercial property. Consideration will be given to flexibly working from home.

Key Duties:

  • Scanning of incoming post and emails
  • Audio typing of correspondence, documents and forms
  • Maintaining an effective on-line filing system
  • Handling incoming telephone calls in an efficient and courteous manner, dealing with queries where possible and passing on in a timely manner

Key Skills:

  • Legal secretarial experience essential
  • Commercial property conveyancing experience essential
  • Typing speed of 70+ words per minute
  • A friendly but efficient telephone manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and use of Oyez, Infotrack (or equivalent), Land Registry Portal, Companies House and SDLT returns and submissions.
  • Previous experience of working within a paperless or paper-lite environment

Technical Knowledge: 

  • Microsoft Suite of packages
