Vulnerable Client Lawyer (3yrs + PQE)
Based at our Canterbury office with flexibility to work from home
We are seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Vulnerable Client team based in our city centre Canterbury office.
Profile:
Working within a highly respected and established Vulnerable Client team. This role consists of dealing with a varied caseload of Vulnerable Client matters but predominantly with wills for vulnerable clients including Advance Directives, probate for those clients and advising on and preparing and registering powers of attorney. There will also be some Court of Protection work and management of affairs matters as well as a possibility to expand knowledge in terms of care fee funding work and NHS Continuing Healthcare Claims.
Duties:
The successful Lawyer will undertake a variety of duties including Wills and probate work at all levels, some court of protection matters, the preparation of wills of varying degrees of complexity including Advance Directives and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and advising clients on the rules regarding care fee funding and how they apply to them.
Specific training will be provided to the right candidate to fill any gaps in their knowledge.
Previous Experience:
• Experience of the main areas of law noted above;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• High quality educational and technical background;
• Self-motivated, self-confident and able to work with minimum supervision;
• Able to relate to clients at all levels and demonstrate excellent levels of client care;
• Good team player with collegial and collaborative approach;
• Able to forge and develop business relationships with an enthusiasm for networking and business development;
• Commercial acumen and appreciation of financial fundamentals;
• Genuine desire to be involved in the future growth plans for the firm.
