Businesses can keep up to date with latest employment law changes at Furley Page workshop

26th September 2018

Business leaders and HR professionals in Kent can gain vital insights into the latest employment law topics at a popular event run by employment law specialists from leading south east law firm, Furley Page, this October.

The Employment Law Update 2018-19 workshop will take place on Wednesday, 17 October at the Holiday Inn Rochester.

Run in conjunction with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, the workshop is open to Chamber members and non-members whatever the size of their workforce.

The workshop will cover the latest trends and important topics in employment law and provide practical advice about its application in the workplace. The workshop will cover a range of subjects including current developments in employment law, practical guidance on how to prepare for any changes, key dates for employment law reform, and the effects on HR policies, procedures and people management. The session will also include a round-up of recent employment law cases to provide real-world examples.

Andrew Masters, Partner and Head of Employment, at Furley Page, leads the delivery of the employment workshops. He said: “Our employment law workshops are always hugely popular as they provide employers and HR professionals in a concise and cost efficient manner the very latest insights in the complex area of employment law. Our workshops empower managers to have more confidence and practical knowledge when dealing with employment issues at work.

“The sessions are interactive, with plenty of opportunity for questions and answers throughout, so delegates can discuss areas that are of interest to their organisation. We’ve been running these workshops with Kent Invicta Chamber for the past 15 years; they are always extremely well-attended, and I would urge any executives and HR professionals that are interested to book now to reserve one of the few remaining places.”

Andrew will be joined by Solicitor Tessa Robinson, an employment law specialist and part of Furley Page’s highly-regarded Employment Team, which is recommended by the independent legal guides Chambers UK and The Legal 500. Andrew is personally Top Ranked in the South East by Chambers UK for Employment Law.

Registration is from 8am, starting at 8.30am and finishing at noon. Workshop costs, including bacon rolls (or vegetarian alternative) and refreshments, are £75 (inc VAT) to Kent Invicta Chamber members and £95 (inc VAT) to non-members.
