The final of this year’s Medway Business Awards had a “feelgood factor” which underlined the dynamic state of the region’s economy, says long-time sponsor Furley Page Solicitors.
“It was a hugely enjoyable evening and there was a real buzz of excitement as the winners of these prestigious awards were announced,” said Susan Jennings, a member of the judging panel and a Furley Page Partner and Head of the Corporate Team based at Chatham Historic Dockyard.
Speaking after the gala dinner held at Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham on 13 November, Susan added: “Each year seems to attract an ever-stronger calibre of finalists and I believe the awards are helping to generate the feelgood factor surrounding Medway’s economy.”
DCB (Kent), the building and refurbishment firm, was named Medway Business of the Year 2015. Specialist awards went to BB7 Fire (Innovation and Strategy), HE Services (Success through Training), Scallywags Medway (Best Newcomer), and Diggerland (Growth by Marketing). Twelve finalists from 50 who had registered interest each received a framed certificate.
Susan added: “We sponsor the awards to show our support to local businesses. The Medway Business Awards have discovered many gems over the years, firms who have used this success as a springboard to expansion and long may that continue!”
Furley Page has already committed to sponsoring the Medway Business Awards in 2016.
The award sponsors are Furley Page Solicitors, EON, Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), KM Media Group, Kent Business School, Kent Reliance, Kreston Reeves, Lloyds Bank, Medway Council, MidKent College, National Grid, Southeastern, and the University of Greenwich.
