Career
After more than 15 successful years in publishing and marketing services, primarily for the shipping and logistics sectors, Tony Chester decided to change career and retrain as a solicitor. Returning to study he attained a first class law degree at Kent University before passing the Legal Practice Course at top London college BPP with distinction. Tony came to Furley Page as a trainee and joined the corporate team on qualification.
Tony has been involved in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, terms and conditions of trading and agency and distribution arrangements.
Company work includes business start ups and company formations, shareholder agreements, share and capital matters, company administration and advice for company directors. He has advised clients in respect of business and share sales and acquisitions and finance and security documentation. Intellectual property work has included advising clients on copyright, design rights and trademarks, registering rights and rights protection and exploitation.
Tony’s commercial experience and approachable manner allow him to build excellent relationships with clients, to understand their needs and to deliver practical, focused advice and support.
