Some answers to frequently asked questions about our summer work placement scheme are below.

Summer Work Experience 2024

The firm has taken the decision to not undertake any trainee solicitor recruitment this year and as a result, we have suspended our 2024 summer work experience programme and will reinstate it next summer.

Please revisit our website early next year for full details of our 2025 summer work experience.

 

Q. How many summer work placement positions does Furley Page have?

Furley Page is looking for a maximum of 8 applicants to fill our summer work placement scheme.  We will have 4 successful applicants per week over 2 weeks.

Q. Can I apply for both the summer work placement  scheme and the trainee vacancy?

Yes, on the same form. Please ensure that you indicate at the top of the first page which you are applying for, and which is your preferred week.  You may select both weeks if you are available for either week.

Q. When do I need to submit my application for a summer work placement?

The closing date for our summer work placement is Friday 21 April 2023.

Q. When will I be interviewed for a summer work placement?

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 10 May 2023.

Q. When will the Summer Work Placement take place?

There will be two separate weeks of work placement.

The first week will take place during the week commencing 12 June 2023 with the second taking place during the week commencing 19 June 2023.

Q. Does Furley Page pay those undertaking a Summer Work Placement?

Furley Page will pay “out of pocket” expenses, supported by appropriate receipts, of up to £20 per day.

Q. Do you offer any other placement schemes other than the Summer Work Placement scheme?

We only offer the Summer Work Placement scheme which is open to both Undergraduates and Graduates.
