Chamber vows to keep virtual networking events by popular demand

Virtual networking events run by Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce have proved so popular with attendees that the organisation has agreed to continue hosting the monthly sessions, even as lockdown restrictions ease and increased contact becomes possible.

The new series of free monthly networking sessions will again be sponsored by law firm Furley Page. Each session offers a mix of virtual networking, digital games, and conversations across three breakout rooms, with different guest speakers each month.

Neil Vanstone, Head of Membership & Events at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, said: “Furley Page has been generously supporting our virtual networking events for the past year and we’re thrilled they have renewed their sponsorship of these valued sessions and the connections they generate.

“We developed our virtual networking to help keep people, particularly those of us working from home or online, connected during lockdown, and the events are really valued by many of us, both Chamber members and non-members alike.”

Molly Hall, Events Manager at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, said: “The feedback we have received from attendees is that the virtual platform offers convenient, easy to attend, flexible networking and it’s a format they would like to keep for the time being.

“Furthermore, with no travel involved we can all be more productive with our time and reduce our carbon footprint too! This sponsorship enables us to continue offering virtual events post-lockdown, even when restrictions are lifted in June.”
