Furley Page appointment strengthens corporate team

October 9, 2017

Kent law firm, Furley Page, has expanded its highly-regarded corporate and commercial team by appointing solicitor Jamie Bourne, further strengthening the service delivered to clients.

Jamie worked at a regional Kent firm before joining Furley Page, which is top ranked by Chambers UK and recommended by The Legal 500.

Jamie acts for businesses as well as entrepreneurs, providing expert advice on a broad range of issues such as company acquisitions and disposals, as well as restructures to allow for succession planning – passing the family business on to the next generation. In addition, Jamie advises clients on commercial contracts, standard terms and conditions and shareholder agreements.

At Furley Page, Jamie will work alongside Susan Jennings, Partner and Head of Corporate, whose expertise has won her personal praise from Chambers UK.

Susan said: “Jamie’s appointment further reinforces our position as one of the leading corporate and commercial teams in the South East and we are delighted he is on board.

“In Jamie, we have another lawyer experienced in corporate and commercial work, with a practical and pragmatic approach to advising clients and who has the attitude and commitment to maintain the high standards of service we are known for delivering.”

Jamie graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011 with an Honours degree in Law before studying his Legal Practice Course at The College of Law (now the University of Law) in Bristol. He is a member of the Law Society.

Outside the workplace Jamie is a keen tennis player and has successfully competed at County Championship level. He now regularly plays for the men’s teams at Canterbury Tennis Club and describes himself as “a fair weather” golfer.
