Furley Page makes strong showing in two prestigious national legal guides
October 16, 2019
Individual lawyers and teams at Furley Page have been recognised for their expertise in the latest annual rankings published by two leading independent national legal guides, The Legal 500 2020 and Chambers UK 2020, placing the law firm among Kent’s legal elite.
The Legal 500 recommends Furley Page in 11 practice areas, while outstanding individual performances by more than 20 of the firm’s lawyers are highlighted. Meanwhile, 12 individuals are ranked in Chambers guides and eight practice areas make the cut.
The Legal 500 praises Partner Rayma Collins, who joined Furley Page in February to head up the firm’s “excellent” Family Law team, for her “grasp of complex issues”, while Chambers UK comments Rayma is “fabulous with clients” and praises her “sharp legal brain.”
Both guides single out the Corporate and Commercial Team for its collaborative, supportive and seamless approach and meticulous preparation, with Chambers UK highlighting Partner Anthony Chester as “an excellent, detailed and commercial lawyer who is ideal in the frenzy of a business deal.”
Meanwhile, the “thoroughly professional” Real Estate team is praised by the Legal 500 for its “responsive nature”, “detailed breadth of knowledge” and “great customer care.” Chambers UK singles out Head of Real Estate, Jeremy Licence, for his “strong strategic sense” and “expertise across a range of transactions.”
Furley Page’s renowned Dispute Resolution team is celebrated by the Legal 500 as “one of the best performing practices in the South East”, while Chambers UK praises George Crofton-Martin for his “excellent knowledge and advice”.
The Legal 500 praises the Private Client team for being “consistently professional, efficient, knowledgeable and approachable” which Chambers UK acknowledges the “very impressive” Neille Ryan on the firm’s Personal Injury team for his “fantastic client care” and detailed knowledge of personal injury law.
Jeremy Licence, Managing Partner at Furley Page, said: “We are delighted to see these practice areas recognised by these highly respected guides. These results reflect the excellent work carried out across the firm and is a testament to the outcomes we seek to achieve on behalf of our clients.”
