Career

Peter Somers joined Furley Page in early March 2005 in the newly created role of  Director of Finance & Administration.

He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and spent 15 years with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and its predecessor firms, gaining valuable experience in audit, where he managed large groups of staff, and corporate finance, working on a range of listed and multinational clients.

Since leaving Coopers & Lybrand in 1994, Peter has had main board roles as finance director in a number of public and listed companies, managing relationships with investors, financiers and external advisers. As finance director he was a key member of the management team that guided an IT contract recruitment specialist to its successful flotation on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

Peter’s responsibilities include managing the firm’s relationships with banks and other professional advisers, as well as overseeing a wide range of support functions.

Since Peter joined Furley Page, he has been instrumental in the firm’s conversion to Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) status, its achieving of Investors in People accreditation and the opening of a new office in the Historic Dockyard at Chatham.
