Furley Page sponsors the University of Kent Lunchtime Concert Series
Lunchtime concert – East Meets West
- Laure Chan – violin
- William Jack – cello / guitar
Laure Chan and William Jack are a London-based classical fusion violin & cello/guitar duo. After studying classical traditions in Vienna, they developed a common interest in expanding the musical capabilities of their instruments and breaking down barriers between genres and cultures.
Their encounters with various styles have inspired both performers to collaborate as composers in creating progressive works that fuse together multiple sound worlds. Together they’ve enraptured audiences in concert halls and churches to restaurants and bars.
Their performance will be followed by a collaborative student workshop surrounding ‘East Meets West’ musical ideas.
