Career

Nicholas Andrews has worked in the legal profession for over 40 years. He began his career in Lincoln’s Inn before moving to Canterbury in 1972. He undertook ecclesiastical law for a while and now specialises in all of the above disciplines acting as attorney or Receiver (Deputy) for many clients.

Nicholas Andrews is Clerk and Receiver to Eastbridge Hospital, an ancient almshouse foundation in the City of Canterbury and Clerk to the Sir Roger Manwood Charity.

He regularly lectures on accredited courses for nurses, social workers and adult mental health teams on legal issues in Palliative Care, Law for the Older Client and on the 2005 Mental Capacity Act. He is a founder member of Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent and serves on their Complaints Committee. He provides an on call service throughout the year to patients in the three Hospices for the purpose of Will making and end of life decisions.
