Leading Kent law firm Furley Page has announced the appointment of two lawyers to its Employment team, which has seen its workload increase this year amid high demand from businesses for specialist legal services.

Senior Associate Patrick Glencross and Solicitor Eleanor Rogers have joined Furley Page’s Employment team, and will work with Head of Employment Andrew Masters to provide a full range of employment law services to businesses and employees.

A highly-regarded lawyer, Patrick Glencross supports clients across the full spectrum of employment law, and has strong experience in advising employer clients in the local government, higher education and charity sectors, in addition to acting for SMEs, financial services businesses and international companies. Patrick is recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories, and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Eleanor qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and has practised previously in top ranking Legal 500 firms in the City of London. She regularly advises on all aspects of employment law, including drafting and negotiating contracts, terminations, flexible working and has a particular focus on discrimination law and whistleblowing cases.

Andrew Masters, Partner and Head of Employment at Furley Page, said: “We took the decision to recruit as we’re facing increasing workloads and it was appropriate to strengthen the team in order to continue to provide first-rate solutions for our clients. I am delighted to welcome Eleanor and Patrick to the firm; both have considerable experience in employment law and I am confident they will be assets to the team.”

Furley Page’s Employment law team is recommended by both The Legal 500 and Chambers UK for its expertise in advising on employment law. The firm supports employers and employees across Kent and the South East, with offices in Canterbury, Whitstable and Chatham, and team members covering West Kent.
