From the start of May, Daniel Bridgland, Sarah Woolnough, Rachael Stibbe and Costs Lawyer Richard Waters have all been promoted to Senior Associate.

Daniel Bridgland joined Furley Page’s Real Estate team in April 2022 following almost a decade as the head of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs team at another Kent law firm. With more than 20 years’ experience advising clients in Kent about property law, he specialises in supporting rural business clients with a range of matters including development land acquisitions and disposals, agricultural land transactions, option agreements and leases, and commercial lease transactions.

The firm’s commercial property and agriculture and rural business teams have been further strengthened by the promotion Sarah Woolnough. Sarah, who celebrates her 25th anniversary with the firm this year, has extensive experience in dispute resolution and deals with a wide range of property litigation work including landlord and tenant disputes for commercial, residential and agricultural clients. She routinely works with the Land Registry, the Courts and the Property Tribunal as a means of resolving disputes and is also a member of the firm’s Agriculture and Rural Business team.

Rachael Stibbe joined Furley Page’s Personal Injury team in February 2020 and handles predominantly personal injury work on behalf of claimants, as well as defendant work where required. Recognised as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), Rachael has extensive experience in personal injury claims such as motor claims, trips and slips, accidents at work, head injuries, criminal injury claims, and professional negligence claims.

Richard Waters joined the firm in 2016 and heads up Furley Page’s costs team. As a Costs Lawyer, Richard services the firm’s dispute resolution, personal injury and vulnerable client teams, dealing with all aspects of legal costs, including preparing costs recovery claims and advising on settlement offers, helping maximise costs recovery with well-placed and strategic settlement offers.

Jeremy Licence, Managing Partner at Furley Page, said: “Each of these lawyers has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of professionalism and a commitment to providing our clients with exceptional service. These well-deserved promotions reflect their contribution to the firm’s strong performance and significantly strengthen the expertise within several of our core teams.

“Furley Page prides itself on developing its staff and providing excellent opportunities for career progression across the firm, to attract and retain top lawyers who can deliver outstanding results for our clients.”
