Career
Deborah Vaysse is a French-qualified lawyer (Avocat à la Cour) and leads the French Law Department at Furley Page. She specialises in advising British and international clients on French property, succession and estate planning matters.
Having studied, qualified and practised in France before continuing her career in England, Deborah offers clients genuine, first-hand insight into the French legal system. She advises on a broad range of French private client matters and has developed a practice focused on assisting those dealing with French legal issues from abroad, particularly where French and English rules intersect.
Before joining Furley Page in 2023, Deborah practised in France within an international department handling litigation and cross-border disputes, particularly in relation to property and estate matters. That experience continues to shape her pragmatic, strategic and outcome-focused approach.
Deborah’s practice is shaped by the realities faced by international clients: navigating an unfamiliar legal system, understanding legal documentation, and anticipating the broader practical and implications of decisions. Her role is to make French law clear, accessible and workable for clients seeking reliable advice in a cross-border context.
Deborah is a native French speaker, fully bilingual in English, and a member of the Toulouse Bar. She practises French law in England under her French professional title.
