Franchise Agreements

Your aim could be to repeat your business model in a number of outlets through a franchise arrangement as a result of which you can keep tight control over the design, standards and operability of the business.

In opting for this route, you would allow franchisees to use your know-how and intellectual property rights usually in accordance with a manual setting out how the business is to be run, in return for an initial fee and an ongoing charge.

It is prudent to be clear about each party’s obligations and detail such arrangements in a contract to protect your business.
