Handbooks, policies and procedures
Working relationships are governed by contracts and, to varying extents, by policies and procedures.
Together, these should be regarded as necessary tools of your business, enabling you to manage your business proactively and providing flexibility for change wherever appropriate.
Legally compliant staff handbooks
We will explore your requirements in detail to ensure your staff handbook is legally compliant and meets the particular needs of your business.
If policies are not part of the contracts of employment, they can be updated in line with current legislation as and when required, without having to obtain your employee’s agreement.
By leaving policies and procedures out of the employment contract where possible, you also protect yourself from a breach of contract claim if you fail to follow a policy to the letter.
We can review and update policies to ensure they comply with employment law changes.
We can also provide new staff handbooks that are up to date with current legislation and that meet the needs of the business. For example, by including social media, equal opportunities and anti-bribery and corruption policies.

We can help whether you are preparing a staff handbook for the first time, updating policies, or introducing new policies as the law and your business evolve. Contact Andrew Masters or Patrick Glencross to find out how we can help you.
