Amanda Okill joined Furley Page in 2007 from a large regional firm where she worked in both their London and Kent offices as an employment specialist.
Amanda is recognised by Chambers and Partners as a leading individual in Employment Law. She specialises in a range of areas in this field including dispute resolution, contentious matters and corporate support. She works with a diverse client base including national and international companies, local and national charities and care homes. She is a member of the firm’s Care Sector Group, providing advice on employment related issues to this sector. Amanda’s litigation experience extends to cases of unfair and constructive dismissal, discrimination and disputes on employment status.
Amanda is an experienced lecturer in employment law and presents training seminars at HR Forums, business forums and in-house. She has also published articles on topical issues of employment law and on her particular interest in the field of discrimination.
Amanda was schooled in South Africa and lived and worked in France before obtaining an LLB from the University of Kent in Canterbury and a Licence in French Law from Bordeaux IV.
Outside the office, Amanda is a Trustee of First Step Trust, a national charity providing work and training for people with mental health problems and other disadvantages.
